Joaquin Ortiz
I like programming silly things. Mostly modifications to existing things to serve some niche. I enjoy hunting down and solving bugs in software.
I am mainly interested in computer systems, databases, and security. I am generally disinterested in web development and machine learning.
I mainly know Go, Java, and Python. I am also familiar with C and Javascript.
Academics
I recieved a Masters in Computer Science under Professor Alvaro Cardenas at UCSC. My thesis was on the use of artificial intelligence agents in cybersecurity scenarios. See my CV for more details.
As for my bachleors, I also recieved it at UCSC.
Other Stuff
Outside of this, I spend far too much time on YouTube. Maybe I should get out more…
While I do use Arch with Hyprland on my laptop, I stick with Windows on my main PC so that I can play games. I usually use my laptop for C/C++ development, and my desktop for cross-platform language development.
